Soul Ties: The Soul Tie, Excuse for Sin or Truth?

Soul ties topics related seem to have invaded Christendom. Are Christians being delivered and helped by the soul tie doctrine, or is this yet another way to sell books? What on earth is a soul tie? Are soul ties the reason why you can't get delivered from addiction, poverty, illness or depression and other affliction?

Soul ties got you worried?

Soul ties are a hot topic in Christendom today. Books about soul ties are spilling off the shelves and being downloaded like there's no tomorrow. Is there any truth to the soul tie doctrine. Are you bound and chained by soul ties? Have you fallen into a soul tie abyss and can't get up? What on earth is a soul tie?

Let's take a look at this buzz word money maker " Soul Ties"...

You know what gets me riled? I get riled up when folks take the word of God and re-package it. I get riled up when folks make up new terms to confuse folk and fleece the sheep. We don't need new books, new blogs, new t-shirts, buttons and pens about soul ties. This new finagled soul tie doctrine, was stolen from 2 Corinthians 6:14. Let's head on over to it...

2 Corinthians's 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked ( or tied) together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hast righteousness with un-righteous? What communion has light with darkness? And what concord has Christ with Belial? or what part has he that believes with an infidel?

Un-Godly associations will bring trouble into your life...

That's it! There you have it and you don't need to rush out and but a ton of books and tapes on the non-existent soul tie doctrine. It is a non-doctrine made up by wolf robbers. God already taught us what bondage and yokes are in 2 Corinthians 6. Thank you very much but I don't need a new book, I've got the Bible. What about you?

God does not want his children to tie/yoke/bind themselves to souls who are perishing. In other words, don't hang around the wrong people.

Why not?

God commands that we do not associate with the wrong people. Why? Because the wrong people can and will bring destruction into your life. The wrong people can open doors to a transferance of spirits and/or negative occurances.

All bondage, ties, chains and generational curses and otherwise were busted at the cross...

If there's a generational curse or any other curse or bondage. Then devils need to be cast out and/or sin needs to be addressed and repented from. Here's where self-deliverance comes in. Cast the devil out of your life. Tell the devil to go in the name of JESUS.

Clean away sin in your life. Let the devil be reminded that he was defeated at the cross and keep reminded yourself. We have the book already. We have God's guide book the Bible. Everything we need to learn to walk in the freedom Christ already gave is there. Every single teaching we need is not in the Christian bookstore, it is in the Bible. I'm not against Christian writing or books. I am against those who exploit others re-do the Bible and make up pscho-babble new terms.

My personal example and testimony on the topic of soul ties/un-equal yokes...

The first thing I did as a recovering addict was lose the friends I had. I cut all ties/yokes with users and dealers. I moved out of the neighborhood. I changed my phone number. I cut all yokes/ties to those addicts who were perishing in sin and bondage.

After my deliverance was complete. I returened to visit that old neghborhood. I did not return to tie myself, or yoke myself up with un=Godly friendships. I instead returned to first, to write a eulogy for a past friend, who was found dead and naked in an alley. Afterwhich I gave a testimony of deliverance from drugs, to all who would listen. My next association with any one from my addict life, were in ministry, and in church.

When we wish our freinds to come to Christ, we pray for them, we do Bible study with them, and bring them to church. Church and the place of God is our territory. It is so important to preserve your spirit. Hold fast your crown, and stay away from bad company in church. Or bad company outside of church. Protect your annointing in Christ. If you notice, Jesus spoke and ministered to all people but only the 12 disciples and those READY to listen to the gospel were invited to his home.

We have to minister to the lost, and we have to tell everyone about Jesus. We can do all that but we must use wisdom. Lastly, read and study the word of God, as if Jesus were to return today. You and all who recieve Christ are called to minister. You have not been called to sit under pastors and ministers glued to pews. Let God, through Christ, lead you into your ministry because souls are waiting.

In response to being un-equally, I have many testimonies about how bad company bought negativity on my life. I'm not just speaking at you, or preaching at you, and standing off in the distance. I'm an ex-drug addict and have suffered seven types of abuse, including rape.
